On June 23, 2021, the Shenzhen Pingshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone successfully passed the acceptance inspection by a joint acceptance team composed of eight departments, including Shenzhen Customs, the Provincial Department of Commerce, and the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, becoming Shenzhen's third comprehensive bonded zone. The Shenzhen Pingshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone is closely focusing on the construction of the "dual zones" to accelerate the transformation of the park's business model towards "bonded +" production services, creating a "bio-raw material international R&D and transformation center, ICT product testing and maintenance center, and integrated circuit and electronic component international distribution center." It will fully leverage the advantages of special policies to enhance the supporting service role of the Shenzhen Pingshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone for the high-tech industries in the Shenzhen High-tech Zone.

Shenzhen Realbio Group Co., Ltd., as one of the first companies to sign an agreement with the bonded zone to establish a biopharmaceutical bonded R&D center, its general manager Su Shaobo stated that after the establishment of the biopharmaceutical bonded R&D center, it will be able to collect the pain points and needs of many companies' imports, and then carry out R&D, transformation, and production within the bonded zone. This will greatly enhance the overall competitiveness and attractiveness of Pingshan and Shenzhen's biopharmaceutical industry.
